Glaucoma Treatment During Cataract Surgery
Endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP) glaucoma laser treatment during cataract surgery is also offered. This technique provides up to an 80% possibility of lowering eye pressure and/or reducing glaucoma medications post-surgery.
YAG laser capsulotomy
We recommend this surgery to treat cloudiness behind the implant lens that frequently can occur after a primary cataract procedure.
Laser iridotomy relieves or prevents increased pressure within the eye from acute angle-closure glaucoma.
Vitreolysis – Laser Floater Removal
Yag laser vitroelysis, or floater removal, has recently been shown to be significantly effective. Dr. Kilpatrick by the American Academy of Ophthalmology is one of the few surgeons in the state certified to perform the painless low-risk procedure. Note: The treatment is only available if cataract surgery has been previously performed.
